The Opportunity:
We have an opportunity for an experienced Assistant Controller to join our team in Vancouver to support the growth of the business. You will have an integral role in supporting the Controller in all corporate accounting operations, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures.
You will play a key role in ensuring Trez’s general ledger and financial statements are prepared in accordance with GAAP for Canada (IFRS and ASPE) and the US, and internal policies. You own the trial balance and take pride in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the general ledger, journal entries and supporting schedules. You understand how systems support the preparation of financial information and you facilitate the month-end GL close process.
Qualifications and experience:
You are a CPA in good standing, with 7 – 9 years of progressive accounting experience in both public practice and industry settings and you have worked in multi-company, multi-currency environments. You have a strong knowledge of accounting principles and concepts.

· Ability to work accurately and with attention to detail
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Excellent time management and the ability to multi-task and prioritize a diverse workload
· Computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Excel and experience administering and working with Great Plains
