TracyTracy Bell

Tracy Bell is the owner of La Belle Fleur Floral Boutique Ltd in Surrey, celebrating her 20th anniversary in 2017. She is a professional designer and educator and has worked in the floral industry in Ontario and BC since 1986. Tracy is the past president and educational director of the Canadian Professional Floral Designers’ Association. La Belle Fleur won Surrey Board of Trade’s Business Excellence Award in 2008 and their Women in Business award in 2014. La Belle Fleur Floral Boutique Ltd is renowned for its warm customer service, exceptional quality and creative designs. Tracy credits her longtime staff’s knowledge, talent and professionalism for her shop’s continued success. “I am grateful every single day for what I do and for my team with whom I get to do it!”

Yvonne Hogenes is owner of Malary’s Fashion Network, a high-end boutique fashion store located in Cloverdale. For 20 years, Malary’s Fashion Network has offered shoppers quality fashions and over the top service. In addition to featuring local and Canadian designers, Malary’s Fashion Network also carries two labels created and designed by Yvonne: TAB Custom-Fitted Bras and the FIRMA ENERGYWEAR collection. Yvonne was awarded the Business Person of the Year Award from the Surrey Board of Trade in 2004 and the Women’s Entrepreneurship Award from the Surrey Board of Trade in 2010.  

Yvonne is passionate about giving back to her community. On Dec 1, 2014 Yvonne opened the doors of Inn for Women Boutique in Cloverdale, across the street from Malary’s Fashion Network. This “Chic Second Hand Boutique” is a not-for-profit enterprise to support women and their families in Surrey who are in need of help in their endeavours to find freedom from domestic violence, addictions, trauma, and poverty.

Hanne Madsen co-owned and operated DanFoss Couriers & Freight for 24 years, a successful transportation company founded in 1967 by her parents. At the time of its sale, DanFoss provided regional, national and international delivery service to over 3000 clients. Currently Hanne is the Chair of the Fraser Health Patient Care Quality Review Board and the Chair of Kwantlen Polytechnic University board of governors. She is a member of the board of directors of the Westminster Savings Credit Union and chairs their Foundation board.

Hanne is a former Chair for GroYourBiz, a peer to peer advisory board for women business owners and entrepreneurs and for two years was also the Chair of the B.C. Trucking Association. To date, she remains the only woman to have attained that position in the 104 year history of the association. She was honoured to be presented with the Surrey Board of Trade, Women in Business Award for Corporate/Leadership in 2015 and most recently she was appointed as a Regional Ambassador Council Member for Women Get on Board. Hanne holds a BBA from Simon Fraser University and a Certificate of Executive Management from the Segal Graduate School of Business at SFU. Hanne is a strong advocate for small business and supporting and championing women.
