An Intimate Discussion with Jenny Witterick:

Jenny Witterick is the President of Sky Investment Counsel, one of the largest managers of International Equities in Canada. She founded Sky Investment Counsel in 2004 after being the sole international equity manager for FGP from 1993. Jenny started her career at Confederation Life and Hamblin Watsa Investment Counsel. She has been in the investment industry for 29 years and has over 21 years of experience in managing International equities.

Formerly available only to AWF members, the Fireside Chat Series are now open to the community at-large. The Fireside Chat Series provides a small, intimate environment for industry professionals to network (bring your business cards) with top members of the financial community and meet with high-caliber business leaders. More about Jenny Witterick:

Jenny is also a Past President of the Toronto Society of Financial Analysts. She has been on the Board of Directors for Woodward’s Department Store and the Doctor’s Hospital. A former Rhodes Scholar nominee, Jenny is an HBA from the University of Western Ontario and  a CFA Charter holder.  This year, Jenny was honoured as a Woman of Action by the ICRF.

In 2013, her debut novel My Mother’s Secret became a best seller in Canada. The book is now being translated into 8 languages including Chinese and Spanish and will be internationally available later this year. My Mother’s Secret was a finalist for the US Jewish Book Awards in 2013.

Jenny donated the entire advance she received from Penguin Books for the worldwide rights to My Mother’s Secret. The charities funded include animal rescue and shelters, medical research, and Love of Reading, which buys books for children in impoverished communities. 

Jenny is a big believer in the unlimited possibilities that reside in all of us.
