Bev Park
President & Chief Operating Officer, Couverdon Real Estate
(a Division of TimberWest Forest Corp.)

As President & COO of Couverdon Real Estate, the real estate arm of TimberWest Forest Corp., Bev Park is recognized for her longstanding career in finance, her contribution and loyalty in the face of significant organization change, and the hands-on, personal manner is which she engages with communities in her current role at Couverdon. This current role is challenging, given that TimberWest is the largest owner of private land in British Columbia, with approximately 800,000 acres of land on Vancouver Island.

Known for her outstanding financial acumen and strong business judgment, Bev excels at developing, articulating and executing strategic priorities.

Bev started her career in the audit division of KPMG and subsequently spent six years in senior financial roles at BC Hydro. Bev moved on to be EVP and CFO of TimberWest for 10 years. At TimberWest Bev was an instrumental member of the executive team that strategically transformed TimberWest from an integrated forest products company employing 1400 people to a focused timber and land management company with less than 100 employees. Bev’s guidance as CFO was key in enabling TimberWest to continue as a going concern despite the economic downturn in 2008 and 2009, and to position itself to unlock shareholder value in the years to come.
Bev is the current Chair of the Board for the Vancouver Opera, a director of the United Way, and a past director of BCTC, YWCA and St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation.
